Braggy performs on new movie soundtrack

Billy Bragg performs two songs on the soundtrack of a new movie, Mama's Boy.
The songs are 'Old-Fashioned Girl', and 'Bed, Bath & Bullshit'. The movie is about an ageing slacker who still lives with his mum.
Mama's Boy is directed by Tim Hamilton and stars Diane Keaton, Jon Heder, Jeff Daniels, and Anna Faris.
"The director brought his people to my LA show last year and said that's what they wanted the main female character - a protest singer of sorts - to be singing, a Billy Bragg kind of song," explains Billy.
"They wrote the songs and filmed her singing them and then hit upon the idea of getting me to sing them over the end credits.
"I duly recorded them both in classic Bragg style during the [new Bragg] album sessions at Chapel this year and they liked them so much I was invited to LA to film these two videos in one day.
"Bed Bath & Bullshit is a pun on a US home furnishing store for yuppies called Bed Bath and Beyond."
The soundtrack is released by Lakeshore Records and is available from Amazon.com and as a download from iTunes.
