Earthquake of 4.7 on the Richter Scale in Kent.

in 1963.. in the middle of the cuban missile crisis .. the earth did move in sussex. We had a minor quake in the middle of the night. It would have been a bit scary anyway but as we were all waiting to be blown up it was very very scary

We are all of 20 miles away but didn't feel a thing...
...there again - I'd have probably just put it down to the violence of tallship's snoring

I was away for the weekend in a caravan, I got woken up at about 8 o'clock in the f'ing morning on saturday being told "We've had an earthquake and missed it. Did you notice?"
Dragged myself out of bed to see the news, took about 2 minutes to realise there was a good reason why we hadn't noticed any earthquake........the news was coming from Folkstone, we were in Felixstowe.
