( Fingers Not working in line with Brain !!! Previous Should have read )
Saw Billy last night along with Ottis in Northampton. Great show Not sure how I never got around to seeing him earlier in life. Although slightly disapointed he Never did " Between the Wars ". That would have then been a perfect end to the evening.
Will see him again in the near future.

Dear Billy,
Please come to Bancroft and sing. We desperately need the revolution here! We are a community which always votes against its own interests and is now in the process of stamping on real people to bring in Walmart. Our saving grace is that we love music. If you want to visit you can stay with Steph and I in the old Anglican rectory.

Billy,
Thanks for the show at Leeds Academy 20th November, fantastic stuff, my 45th birthday too, 20 years ago in Bradford on my 25th Birthday I saw you play St Georges Hall with Michelle Shocked, which was brilliant and its good to see and hear that you haven't lost your fire!! I was there last night with my wife and my son who is 16 and more of a Strokes/Leon/NIN/pumpkins fan but he had a great time too!! Thanks Billy

Loved the show at Rock City last night, Billy. What about paying a visit to Stoke on your next tour? It'd be great to have you here, putting it to the fascists who are threatening to take over my beloved home town.

Awesome show Billy, depiste the voice thinking about giving in. Rock City, still as seedy as ever! (you know it always was!!) Been there a couple of times with you before (amongst other places), the most memorable being pre Thatcher downfall! but f##k me, we must be getting old! When did we all get so civilised. People left a clear path to the toilet, no elbowing your way through the crowd! And once you'd not elbowed your way back, no-one had stolen your spot... truly civilised!!
Power to the democratic people. Shine on Comrade, I've got faith (in you!) xxx

Yes we did!! There is hope for the world again!!! Thank you for coming time and again to inspire us with your words and music, to do the right thing or to just hang in there. The show at Page was amazing as always and I hope you were still in the States to participate in the victory that was ours on Tuesdays. Thanks again, I look forward to next time.

Your superb performance in Charlottesville, Va on Oct. 29 gave me new hope. You do, indeed, keep faith. I had to work the next day, and I couldn't stay late to chat. It speaks volumes about you that you offered to meet with interested members of the audience after the show. You really are the heir to Woody, and that's sayin' a lot! Earlier posts (and comments by you at the show) indicate that some fascist heckler actually received free speech responses from you--gasp!. (I can't ignore 'em either, much as I'd like.) There's another post here where someone wants their money back. I want MY money back from the fascists who have been taking it from me all my working life. I work for a living, fascists, and YOU sociopaths manipulate the economy and stifle free speech whenever anyone points that out. I want a refund, and I want my rights back. You fascists been selling me some baaaad shit, and you got my credit card number. I don't wanna buy no more crap. Thank you, Billy, for saying so well what I mean to say,--and often do say. You do it so much better, though. God bless and keep you for being the man you are.

Billy, thank for a GREAT show last night in Charlottesville, VA. I arrived feeling very blue, but your songs and banter made me laugh hysterically and feel ever so much better :)

I am seemingly surrounded by narrow-minded people, but your words encouraged me to speak up more, to express my beliefs. I'm so left-leaning I fall over! Liberal tree-hugger me ;) and it was nice to hear you expressing all the same things I believe in so strongly. It restored my faith. Thank you. You do good work in the world. Woody would be so proud.

Billy hit Charlottesville (where the @#$%?) Virginia last night and rocked the hall. Ever since hearing the first chords of "Levi Stubbs Tears" on the radio and thinking, "Who is this!??" I've wanted to go to a BB concert. Not disappointed in the least. Although we do not see quite eye-to-eye ideologically (stop twitching!), his passion overwhelmed me and inspired me to carry on harder in my own beliefs. Rock on, Billy, and please come back to the living room in Charlottesville!

PANERA BREAD!

Becky,
1st let me say thank you for your son’s service, I keep in my prayers the safety of all those who serve in our military. To follow up on last night’s show I should also clear the record that I didn’t feel bullied/harassed or intimidated in any way by Mr. Bragg ,while he and I may see things very differently my leaving was strictly because I didn’t wish to hear anymore of what I thought was a rather one-sided political rant and had nothing to do with his response to my question (which I never viewed as heckling, maybe my fault there)
Secondly my wife had already left the show, having had enough prior to my “chat” with Mr. Bragg, so I wouldn’t have stayed beyond when I did. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss politics anytime with Mr. Bragg. Having paid hard earned money to attend this concert, which I assumed would be about the music, I think the excessive time and format spent on his worldly views was more then I would have thought for a music performance. Oh well we do live and learn. Burn me once shame on me…….

Hi Billy,

The concert last night at the Keswick was great. I'll admit my first concert of yours I went just for my husband but truly came out a fan and now 10 years later our son is also. Thanks for the picture for my son in bootcamp and the autograph. While I do agree with you about the war I do have to support my son with where ever he goes. Your kind words meant so much to us. You are truly a gracious man.

As for the guy in the front row. It's one thing to heckle but if he can't take it back he shouldn't start. Being only four rows away from him, Billy tried the humor but it was truly lost on the guy.

All my best to you with the remainder of your tour.

guy in front-not humiliated by B. Bragg
Mr.Bragg should practice what he preaches a little and if he belives in truth in advertising he'd advertise as The B.Bragg Political ranting show instead of musical performance, true if I'd known that his show was going to be an one sided polical rally with no tolerance allowed for opposing views I would not have come.I'm requesting a full refund from Mr.Bragg if he's not the fraud and hypocrite I belive him to be.

I hope you read this, Mr. Bragg. I've been a long-time fan...15 years now. I've seen you in concert probably 10 times over the years.

I never thought I'd see and hear Billy Bragg bully a fan like I did last night at the Keswick Theater. Sure, a guy sitting in the front row should know where your politics come from. As a conservative, I don't agree...but I come prepared (even in election cycles).

However, how you treated that guy in the front row ran counter to everything I've ever heard you say about treating others with dignity and respect. You're a pro and been at this for decades...you could have had you way with him with humor instead of humiliating him. Uncool. Sad - coming from you.

Well, I take it as a sign of the times.

P.s. - maybe you ought to take note, and think about your acerbic concert the last time you were at the Keswick (which was packed) - and note that the hall was half full last night. Wondering why? I won't be at the next show.

Uncle Bill went down a storm two nights in Somerville. Night one was really rocking political Clash night and number two was a little more love songs and little bit of Tap moments.

He's still got it and he really energized all of us.

The election cannot come soon enough.

My. Bragg,

I saw you with my late fiance at the Moore Theatre in Seattle back in 1988. I do not share your politics but have loved the deep meaning and sentiments reflected in your songs. My dear Jocelyn took her own life in August of 1988 and everytime I hear "She's Got A New Spell", "Waiting for The Great Leap Forwards" or "Levi Stubbs' Tears" I cannot stop the tears from coming...

Whenever I am asked who my favorite artist is I can honestly answer without hesitation "Billy Bragg"!

Politically, I would fit into the "Ideology" lyrics but would always be the first to step-up in your defense if I were standing next to you.

Thank you for all of your thoughtful music over these many years!
